Overview
The Program Evaluation Intern will analyze quantitative and qualitative feedback from our teachers and youth participants, and synthesize findings into a report. We are looking for someone who loves analyzing data in all its form to identify bright spots and growth opportunities for our programs. This intern will also work with our Program Managers to make changes to our data collection tools and processes, youth curriculum, and teacher professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis (40%)
- Analyze survey feedback from Vocal Justice youth participants and teacher fellows.
- Conduct qualitative analysis on staff notes from conversations with teacher fellows.
- Run statistical tests to compare mindset and learning outcomes between Vocal Justice youth participants and their peers who did not participant in our program.
Report Writing (40%)
- Summarize findings from data analysis into digestible report, including relevant charts, tables, and graphs, and highlighting key areas where our program is thriving and opportunities where we need to improve.
- Include a concrete list of recommendations in the report on how Vocal Justice should improve its curriculum, teacher professional development, and program logistics to better support our young people and teachers.
Program Improvements (20%)
- Revise and create pre/post survey assessments and interview guides to help Vocal Justice gather more meaningful data during the 2022-2023 school year.
- Share ideas on how to improve our data collection processes.
- Collaborate with Program Managers on how to improve our youth curriculum and teacher professional development workshops, based on feedback we received this school year.
